1997 XJ OBDII Code 12

Hi Guys,

I recently instally my lift with Jeeperjohn and on the way home, the CEL light came on.

I did the key trick and got a code 12 - Battery disconnected from the PCM.

Should I go get it cleared or is this a problem I need to look into more?

I wouldn't worry about it. I think it clears itself out at like 40 starts or something.

Got the code read: Speed sensor no reading.

Makes sense since the odo and speedo don't work due to the SYE and the speedo cable gears not engaging...not a biggie but will need to be fixed soon!

Code 12 for OBD1 is battery disconnected, not for OBD2. Code 12 for battery disconnected wouldn't trigger a steady check engine light. As you already found out though.
