1991 GMC 4X4- diff actuator

My friend has a 91 1/2 ton with a vac axle disconnect that is broken, All I can find for it is the electric actuator, wtf? they don't even list a vacc actuator for it. Anyone run into this?

looks like 4x4posi-lok makes a kit, just thought they did jeep stuff, thought I'd share to you chevy guys that hate waiting for the axle to engage

In 91, the FS pickups got the electric unit. It's a POS just like the S-10 Vac units......

Plus, with the truck off, the unit gets turned off, so the axle unlocks....(The unit heats a wax pellet that expands and pushes the shaft to move the fork over that locks the axle.)

Go and get a 4x4 Posi-lock and end your troubles.
