Just got done editing a short video made from 16mm film that my dad took/had taken while running the 1954 Continental Divide rally. I had to cut the resolution way back so I could get in onto photo bucket and definitely lost some of its crispness. Lots of old sports cars and shots of Colorado like it was before it got over run. It is silent.

Dont play it full screen, let me know how it looks. I have a bunch more late 40's through late 50's racing and rally video to assemble.

Can you upload it as HD though Youtube?

I am sure I can. Just need to get set up on a you tube account. Post back when its done.

Re: 1954 Continental Divide Rally & 1952 Road Races

Just completed a video of:

1952 Elkhart Lake
1952 Watkins Glen
1952 Sebring (first year)
1952 Giants Despair Hill Climb
Early 50's airbase races, location unknown
1954 Continental Divide Rally (better resolution)

Its about an hour long and contains a lot of background information on cars, drivers and early racing.

Enjoy

They wont last 50 years but I am not going to get rid of them. The films were near perfect when I first saw them in 75. About a third are badly faded or lost now. I got most of them digitized in 2010. I will do the rest this year. Darn expensive but worth saving.
