19' Towrite car trailer, whats it worth?

I have been borrowing this trailer a good bit from a friend of mine and he is ready to sell. Timing is bad for me with an impending divorce but I can't pass up a good deal.

Its a 19' Towrite with solid bottom/no dove tail, tires are about half good, new spare, dented fenders, LED lights, breakaway, brakes on both axles and fresh state inspection. I think it comes with the Valley equalizing hitch and a 1k loading winch/battery.

It needs new fenders and paint.

I have towed this trailer well over a thousand miles with my Commander and damn it towes good! How much do I offer him? Its at least 10 years old.

You can find brand new 18' 10k trailers for under $3k..

I honestly wouldn't pay more then $1k for it..

I haven't bought a lot of trailers but I wouldn't part with more than 1k for it. Deals can be had if your lucky... I'm into my 20ft dove tail for about 1400 total, that's purchase, new deck, and all new tires.

I hear if you drive to lawrimore trailers to pick up you can get a pretty good deal on a new one.... IIRC the one that got stolen from glenn was a lawrimore.

By the time I pay for the 14 hour trip to Alabama I would be better off to stay local.

I pulled up to my buddies house today to get the trailer(My son dropped a rod on the MJ on I-81/Christiansburg and needed to be hauled home again). I hooked up using his hitch that was left out, pulled forward, rolled the Scrambler on tons/38's off the trailer(its was dead) and drove away and the neighbors waved to me LOL! Gotta love a small town like Roanoke. I could have took his Scrambler if I wanted to.

Around here that trailer would go for 1,500 easy (Without the winch on the front...)

I paid 500 for mine but it's a class A piece of shit that needs to be worked on.

Yea it was. I loved it. Paid $1600 for it plus tax. That was from a dealer here in SC too. They have a jeep hauler now that I want to get a price on.

I made an offer at $1200 with the hitch. the winch is dead according to the owner but I have a brand new winch/battery/solar charger sitting in the garage waiting for a trailer to sit on. I have not heard back from him so I think he was offended.

I'm about to put an order in on a lawrimore 30' goose here soon. Hard to beat the deal.

Gotta have a trailer to fit 2 jeeps or 1 jeep band popup.

Yea I know the feeling.... Like when mine was stolen... worse timing ever. Sorry to hear about the big D. Unless of course you are like me and trying to get out of a bad situation. Mine is about done. I'll be looking into another Lowrimore after tax season I hope.

Glenn, I love my wife more than anything. Up until two years ago I would not have taken a billion dollars for her. The mid life/Hysterectomy/Cervical cancer and a million hormones flying through her have made her someone I do not know. I pray she will come out of it soon before its too late. I can't deal with much more.
