Im planning on ordering some humvee pulloffs and wheels, and i understand you can recenter them with new centers to work on a cherokee... the part I dont understand (yes i have attempted to research on my own) is how it is done, where jobs like that are done and how the backspacing is effected... im trying to get this order placed before i move to my next training which is why im in a rush. i appreciate any help
thanks
mike

they cut the centers out, and weld new ones in

a job best left to a pro.

you should be able to get pretty much any BS you want, within reason

now i know you cant price it to the dollar, but roughly what might this cost me? is it a pricey job?
thanks for the speedy response

I run the 8 bolt recenters. Its a great wheel. Alittle heavy. But its pretty cheap for a double beadlock.

But keep in mind the 16.5 tire size will severely limit your tire choices. As not many companies make that size any more. The only 2 i can think of are pitbull and swampers.

More and more of the top off-road tire brands are making 16.5 tires to fit this growing demand. How far will it go who knows.

They also suck offroad. I have one i was goi g to run as a spare and the rubber is almost as hard as a urathane skateboard wheel.

shame to hear, i just got a set today... but i see a lot of road as well so i guess there is always give and take...

Oh yea as a mostly road tire they will wear awesome and last forever. If your going to run them on the h1 wheels just air them down to almost nothing. Also it would probably be worth investing in a tire grover and cut up the tread blocks. Do those things and i bet they will work fairly well.

If i had a lifted dd i would run them.
