Done, and agreed on not voting if you aren't educated on the issues at hand. Would be nice if every American Citizen was well versed on the issues, and casted a vote however.

There is no excuse for not being informed on the issues and voting. There have been months of time to educate yourself. If you don't care enough to find out, then you don't get to bitch when things don't go the way in which you'd like them too. I'd go so far as to say that citizen's rights should be based on their willingness to vote.

c'mon now, government doesn't grant citizens "rights", and therefore has no power to deny them their rights if they elect not to vote, say, because they think the whole lot of losers to select from on the ballot are just that, losers.
"we are endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights" -- not endowed by the government, but endowed by the mere fact that we were created as humans. Vote if you like, don't if you don't, but don't act like you, as a human being have any authority over another to deny them their rights -- that is NOT the principles upon which the American experience is based.

I agree, but that doesn't change the fact that there are plenty of uneducated voters out there, and I or nobody else can force them to be educated with their Country's issues. I don't agree however, with your statement of a citizen's rights should be based on their willingness to vote, that's just crazy, don't need any more Government control than we already have.

When the vote to be cast was either "yes" or "no"......... why is it being counted with 4 choices "yes yes", "yes", "no no" and "no"?

If you didn't vote today you have no right to bitch about things tomorrow! Seriously though if you didnt do the research your better off to just vote the party line. I usually do that unless on the rare occasion that there is a real bad candidate. The way I look at is for the most part most republicans are better than any Demicrat. My two cent fwiw

last I checked I'm free to bitch at will, as that freedom is not only part of my natural rights, but protected by the Constitution as well... I voted for nearly an entire slate of third-party candidates, as I believe that both the Republicant and Demorat parties are but two sides of the same corrupt coin -- does that somehow limit my right to say they are all scumbags? Sure, Republican rhetoric about liberty and fiscal responsibility is far superior to that of Democrats of late, but only because they are in the minority and trying to pander to an angry populous. I see NOTHING in Republican history in power to suggest they will actually do ANYTHING to reduce the size of government and restore liberty to the states and more importantly, to the people. Reagan was responsible for some of the most eloquent, libertarian, inspirational rhetoric ever -- his administation managed to triple the deficit, invade nations who had not been aggressors to us, and generally expand government in spite of such rhetoric.
I would be willing to bet that the end result of yesterday's elections will be the most dreaded word in the American vernacular: bi-partisanship. Yes, now both parties will work together to expand the American warfare empire, while maintaining and expanding the domestic welfare state -- the end result is inevitable since we cannot afford either: the destruction of the US Dollar and continuing economic recession. But don't worry, their special interest benefactors will come out just fine...:anon:
