A huge day if you want a say in the direction that your State and Federal Government will take.

I'm not asking anyone to vote in any particular manner or for any one issue or political party. I just hope that those of you that have the right to vote do so.

Reember that it's not just a right, but it's a responsibility and a freedom that many on this palnet simply don't have.

Stand and be counted, be heard, have a say in your future.....

Vote.

:patriot:

Haven't missed one since I turned 18 and I have NO intention of missing this one. It's a right I consider important and hopefully everyone else does as well.

Same here. I'm not an Early voter or a Postal voter. To me actually showing up a polling place to cast my ballot just seems like the right way to do it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for it if it works for those that choose to go that route. It's the fact that people actually vote in some manner that counts.

I'll be glued to the tube tomorrow to see how my candidates did.

Just dropped my mail in ballots......... at my local polling place. I like to take the time to sit with my wife, read the info, discuss and vote together. But yeah, I ain't gonna trust the USPS with my vote, I like to drop them in the polling box personally.

Vote........ for the next group of asshats to mismanage our tax dollars, impose new and higher taxes, come up with and pass bullshit laws! It would seem that voting is just an illusion of being in command when in reality the good intentions you are voting for get crushed by the powers that be in DC!! It is the same crap every time, character bashing and promises for a better America that has yet to manifest itself!

I vote we fire them all and start over with a new party, the redneck party!

As far the candidates are concerned, good question. It's a fools errand when a person votes based solely on a TV commercial. If you haven't researched on your own, you may not be casting your vote in the direction it really should go. YOU are responsible for being an informed voter. This applies to all of the ballot initiatives, not just the various races for a specific office.

My voting decisions are based on my beliefs, values, morals, and the direction I'd like to see the country go in.

Ira,
maybe you should start your own thread about why YOU don't want to vote...please don't screw this one up....Thanks.

Don't know enough about what is going on!

How can I find Factual Information? not the dumb comercial where they bash on each other.
You can start at this late juncture with the 2010 Blue Book - http://www.colorado.gov/cs/Satellite/CGA-LegislativeCouncil/CLC/1200536134742 and read the ballot measures and an analysis of what the impacts and benefits of a 'yes' or 'no' vote would be.

However, I'd really recommend asking that question a whole lot sooner next time around to make sure that you're educated and well-prepared to cast your vote.

No intention of socalled screwing up YOUR thread........don't you mean hijack your thread with my usless drivel!!

I base my opinion on my moral value, belief and direction too!!

Never said I was NOT going to vote, just stated my opinion of what I believe we vote for and why.

The system as it stands is set up to give you the voter the illusion you have command of the direction this country takes. Money controls the persons we elect to represent us. The control is in the hands of those with all the money. Money gets laws written and buys votes to get them passed. If you think for one second you have any control over where this country goes you are foolish!

Back on topic..... I am voting.

I won't derail Frank's thread agreeing with Ira about the likely outcome (jeebus, agreeing again?!?:wierd:)...

I will give Jeremy kudos for recognizing he doesn't know enough about the issues to cast an educated ballot, and seeking that information. I think one of the greatest disservices we do to our republic is when we encourage people who know nothing and have no motivation to learn about the issues to go out and cast a ballot anyways. Being of legal age to vote does not make one sufficiently informed to vote (obviously not something that applies to Daniel, I know he is passionate!).

So please, if you care, if you have an opinion, if you've taken the time to consider the issues and the impact of your vote, then VOTE. If you instead just like to go about your business and don't know what you're voting for, do all of us a favor and stay home -- in my mind it won't make you any less of a patriot for not voting, but rather a better person for not f'ing up everyone else's right to self-governance and self-determination.:peace:

voted and had fun doing so...ran into a friend I hadn't seen in two years.
