How does lifting your motor help or are they needed for some other reason . Do they affect the driveline angles .

There big with tj's and yj's to keep things aligned when you install a body lift. There's no room or need for them in a xj

I was asking because it's already a little cramped under there .

you shouldnt need them the 1" motor raise is to get a little better rear drive shaft angle but in turn hurts the front angle

I knew that . But the Wrangler have really really short rear drive shafts .

Similar to a transfer case drop. Helps the rear DS angle, hurts the front DS angle, puts stress on exhaust, raises the fan closer to the top of the shroud, and puts the intake tube closer to the hood, which if there is a K&N it may not work.

Just don't do it.

There're big with TJ's and YJ's when installing a "tummy tuck" and the small body lift is needed, this helps driveline angles and helps with driveshaft vibes.
