01' swing spare mount w/o bumper replacement

Is there a swing away spare tire mount that attaches to the body (not the hitch) out there for a 2001 XJ? I know they dropped it as a factory option in 97', my 96 had pre drilled holes in the frame, although i never mounted one. I don't really want to replace the rear bumper (yet), but I want the room inside and I really want the tire on the back.

I have a bumper mount tire carrier that was a factory option in 1994 it is new in the box, (although the box is a little dirty) complete with hardware and instructions I will send you a pic.


It will easily handle a tire up to 32" and with very little modification (stronger bolts) it will handle larger than that.

the only thing you need to modify is the plastic end cap.

I'm just not sure if will easily connect to an XJ built after 96. I'll need to verify that the pre-drilled frame mounts are the same. I'm interested, I just don't want to waste your time if the mount wont work anyway.
