01 Sport rear quarter panel access hatch

Doing some electrical repairs on my 2001 Sport and I need to gain access to the inside of the driver side's quarter panel. I was told there is an access panel inside the trunk area to get inside the panel. Where is this panel/hatch located, assuming it actually exists.

You access it by removing the plastic trim in the cargo area.
