It is typically added to quiet lifter rattle. If you added while it is running you will immediately hear a difference. I'm not sure why else you would add it.

I bolted angle it through the sides of the interior "wall" and then bolted the plywood deck to it. Any weight on top is borne by the PVC pipes. My air compressor is bolted to the hard deck as well. Just like Mike L stated... it's a Hanson! I have their front prerunner winch bumper as well...

There are replacements and extended ones made. Or you could just not run a swaybar. I haven't run front or rear swaybars in years.
