I have my factory LSD out of my 97 8.25 laying around. Worked great up till I switched it for an air-locker. I think you'd have to upgrade to 29 spline? axles though.

Anything West of W. 150th would be fine. North Olmstead hotels are about 15 minutes away, with the traffic getting into the IX center, during non-rush hour. East of there yop need to know the specifc areas a little better. Like most big cities it has it's good and bad spots.
Alas, The 1997 remote needs to be programmed in by the dealer (or someone) using one of them there fancy scanning gadgets. They charged me $35.00 apiece when I had mine done.
Well, I guess I have to say this just so I'm not thought of as nuts. I observed and asked about the shorter racks before the end of 1997. I spotted them on a visit to the dealership here in the Cleveland, OH area. Maybe because we're closer to Toledo?
Actually they switched to the short racks in the last part of 1997 with the late 1997 and 1998 models. It was for liability. If you look, even the earlier ones only had skid rails between the roof rack that went to the rear of the front door. Seems people were putting stuff in the front area...
I,ve had that happen on both my XJ and my Subaru Forester. Sort of a scritching dragging sound. It was rust build up on the drum where it mates up with the backing plate.
