Inverter Wiring & Clean Ride!
Hi, yes it is wired direct with a auto-resetting circuit breaker (don't want blown fuses out in the boonies) and it's parked on the floor, passenger side about the base of the B pillar - there is nothing there anyway and it makes really easy access to run a cord...
What You Did With The Right Rear Cubby Space
Hey XJ Expedition Type Peoples! Sorry I've been so busy I have not posted up in a while.
Well what have you done with your right rear "cubby hole space"? I have seen a custom made speaker box and some other nice ideas. I wanted to share mine as...
Not Cheap But Good
Well FWIW, I really like my JCR rear bumper that has the hitch built in; it brings your rear approach angle up quite a bit, and is rated for what the XJ can tow.
Only "con" is that JCR is not so cheap - it IS worth the money though.
LOL my rig was so clean right there...
Thank you my XJ Brethren for your replies!
Yes I appreciate this reminder, I knew about the water moisture part - it's why you don't start a rarely driven car for 30 minutes and shut it down; You DRIVE it!
The acids part - yeesh, more potential bad news and appreciate that.
The temp point is...
Re: Mill head, port clean up
This was a question I have been wondering about as well - for those who have built a few of the 4.0 I6's - how much can you mill a (stock) head and be good to go with no higher than 91 octane? How about some light port work?
I only run 91 anyway - I would not mind...
Also run the Borla cat-back and have a Magnaflow performance "direct-fit" Cat - I agree here as well - it improved power on my steep grades and sounds good. Everyone will hear it, but it is not obnoxious.
I run the BDS 4.5" lift and had to saw off the offset outlet to prevent any interference...
Re: Engine oil cooler? Passive?
Hey just browsing around while looking into other cooling options before this year's first trip, and I found this item - has anyone tried one?
Passive Oil Filter Cooler - If you tried one: Seem to work?

Clearly you would...
I absolutely DIG Tom Woods work on driveshafts....
That being said I Have noticed his balances leave something to be desired, and the lower gears you run the more important this becomes. I have 4.56's on 33's and at highway speeds the shafts are Ripping! A little off balance makes quite a...
PHENOMENAL COSMIC FAN <-- Yes - Now oil cooling?
Hello again,
I'm digging this thread back up because I'm tinkering with things again and wanted to both ask a couple questions and share some results.
First off, I did put one of those Napa ZJ HD fan clutches in - yes it's noisy but I could...
Nice Upgrade! NAPA part 272310
Hey that NAPA part 272310 is a nice upgrade! With AAA discount it was $41 and change out the door.
YES, it does make more fan noise because it is putting the fan to work, but I could care less because of the improvement - It moved my temp needle from riding on...
Team Cherokee <-- Stay Away From!
Sorry to hear about his man. Thanks for the heads up.
Team Cherokee gave me a HORRIFIC run around. I bought a "premium oem" header panel and front fender, shipped direct to my body shop. We unboxed them, held them up to the XJ and they were Horribly made...
