    Tomorrow is the day

It does ride really well, even with the *gasp* AAL. My wife can't get over how good it did the trip up 95.

    Tomorrow is the day

Haha, my wife's bugging me to do it too. Once I get one more for the spare I'll probably do it. I've got a quick question while I'm on here, I'll probably post it over in the tech. forum too. Today on the way to the carwash I noticed a certain sound coming from the rear vehicle. Wasn't...

    Tomorrow is the day

Thanks. Went with treadwright guard dogs w/kedge grip in 31x10.5. Only got a few miles on them but I like them so far. The only vibes I've got so far are light on acceleration, not bad at all. My old tires were so horribly unbalanced though I'm really just enjoying having balanced tires.

:viking: Just a heads up, ended up using a c clamp, socket, and old bolt on the sway bar bracket bolts

FINISHED!!!!! It's getting aligned as we speak. Didn't bother with the TC drop and the vibes didn't seem too bed so we'll see whether or not I do it, hopefully it wont be long before the sye goes in. I'll have pictures up in a bit for sure.

    Tomorrow is the day

So things haven't really been working in my favor (getting out of work late, etc.) Finally got everything together today and dropped the jeep on the tires. I've still got to center the track bar, bleed the brakes, and do the tc drop. Does anybody have any idea what hardware I will need for...

    Tomorrow is the day

This will probably go down as the longest lift install in the history of man. Keep running into road blocks. Tried to get the rear leafs off yesterday and ran into trouble with the hitch. Tried to take the hitch off and realized the retards who installed it were, well, retarded. Hopefully...

    Tomorrow is the day

For those of you who have done the home brew TC drop, was there a certain direction you went with. I found this, as far as needed supplies and instructions, does that look ok? Thanks a lot for the help guys, I appreciate it. Hopefully I'll have the bastard on the road tonight.

    Tomorrow is the day

Anybody with experience in lifting later year XJs have anything to say about driveline vibes. A SYE and CV DS are on the immediate to do list but I am taking a 250 mile trip next week to the DC area and would've liked to take the Jeep (the dog and my other car's leather don't mix very well)...

    Tomorrow is the day

Yeah, I saw the thing about the pitman arm puller AFTER I took the time to cut the bolts and start drilling them out. That ate up a bunch of time, and I wasn't able to finish. Pretty much just have to change the rear leafs now and throw the new rear shocks on and I should be done. Lucked out...

    Tomorrow is the day

Got off work late so I didn't get much done. Got most of the front end torn down and was able to get the control arms on. Had to quit at about 8 so I'm bummed about that. Hopefully I can get out early today and knock out the rest. I'm trying to get everything taken care of including a SYE...

    Tomorrow is the day

I'll be starting the install of a Rubicon Express 3.5 Superflex lift on my cherokee tomorrow after work (hopefully, if I dont get off late and get lazy again). It'll probably last a few days I'm guessing. Any last minute advice? (I'm doing it on post at the auto skills shop if anybody in...

    4.10 gears and 35's ????

Not to insult your intelligence, but my guess is you didn't change the speedo gear and you're not figuring that into your mpg equation. That would make your odometer read low or slow or whatever you want to call it, making it appear that you're getting terrible mileage. If that's not it, start...

    New here!

Thanks for the welcome everybody. I would love to find some fellow XJers to hang out with around here. I've seen several nice ones around. The Jeep is my daily driver, but not my only car. In fact, talking to my wife and just thinking about the disgusting amount of money I'll save has...
