    4.0 Turbo Dyno results

fuel was handled with a in-line booster pump and a 14:1 FMU. As for timing you can't do much, I moved the intake air temp sensor to the charge pipe. few reasons, first the intake manifold gets heat soaked and when the intake air temp sensor gets warmer is pulls timing out of the jeep to combat...

    4.0 Turbo Dyno results

the turbo is sized really well for the 4.0. it spools VERY quickly. in 4low there is more of a load on the motor, so it will build boost quickly. the type of driving i do and more crawling too im easy on the gas pedal.

it can take for than 8. some of the supercharger kits are 10-12 psi. after i do water/meth if i wanted to i could raise the boost, but 6psi gives my a good blend or power and great gas milage. plus with water/meth and 6psi i wil me making more power

FMU is a ebay special. fuel options are kinda limited. you can do a booster bump bigger injectors and a stand alone fuel management. cost some serious money though. I built this entire kit for under $600 bucks

    4.0 Turbo Dyno results

So I have been working on this project for a little while with a good buddy of mine. Its not a XJ or MJ but it is 4.0. By buddy Dave that worked on this with me turbo'd his XJ and is still working out some auto tranny woes. My results came out good. Specs: 1995 YJ 4.0 with 186k AX-15 tranny...

    racing seats

i had a set just like thoes in my Jeep. I was not a huge fan of them. i ended up getting a killer deal on a pair of corbuea baja seats and I like that style much better. I have heard awesome things about these as well...

YJ dana 30 into an XJ?

not a direct bolt in. YJ is leaf sprung and the XJ is coil sprung. with all of the brackets you would need to weld on you're better off getting a dana 30 from another XJ. the YJ also has a disconnect axle and the 98 XJ should not

    Blown oil filter/damage

I just had a similar problem on my YJ. the PCV vent clogged and pressurized my valve cover and blow out my oil filter gasket. I changed it with a puralotor and have had no issues. Does the oil pressure gauge sit at the same point at idle

    super chrager or stroker

I just made my own turbo kit for my 4.0 in the Jeep. gas milage went up and well, on 35's and 4.56's i embarassed an Eclipse one night driving home. the 4.0 has a low-ish compression raito, 8.8:1 which makes it nice for forced induction. I run 7 PSI and its plenty.

    JCR OTK STEERING

when i did my JCR OTK steering on my yj i had already done the OTK swap with the stock TRE's so reaming them for the one tons took very little time. i pulled the pitman arm off and did that in a drill press. even on the slowest speed it was too fast and i had to keep stopping and let it cool.

    Aux Guages

I have an aftermarket boost gauge in my YJ and a wideband 02 gauge also. i put a oil pressure gauge in my XJ because i do not trust the factory gauge and with 212k on the clock I like to keep a close eye on it.
