What's broken? Motor mounts, engine bracket?

Yes sir they are pictures of tranny mount. Just didn't think the mount looked too thrashed, not bad enough to make the entire motor move forward into the radiator and have the oilfilter run into the motor mounts... Come to find more and more research has lead me to this...

What's broken? Motor mounts, engine bracket?

Edit: Broken pictures link. Ordered the Daystar Poly mount from Quadratec about 3 weeks ago, long story of backordered, and then they put my old address on the package... etc.. Whatever, didn't care, just wanted my part. Got it in, and on the freaking box it says 98-01 XJ 2&4wd 4.0L Only. Part...

What's broken? Motor mounts, engine bracket?

It's hard to see under there with all the damn mud and whatnot. I swear I've changed motor mounts probably 5 or 6 times since I've had this XJ. Usually the rubber around bolt cracks or rots away. I am pretty sure that the Tranny mount is definitely broken, new or good ones don't look anything...

What's broken? Motor mounts, engine bracket?

Hey guys, I could really use some help here. I have moved and now I don't have a garage with my apartment... Former Marine here, just trying to use what I got without selling the XJ. The condensed version of this is what could be the cause of the engine moving so far forward that the...

    how much slip??

Yeah you want some showing. If the axle goes up and the shaft doesnt have anywhere to go, it might cause some problems... I think it only moves like an inch though... if that.

    axle swap?

ABS was too much trouble for me when I swapped in my D44. So I just cut stuff out. Maybe in the future, far future, I would put in new chromo shafts with the abs gear on the shafts.

Best SA 4-5" Lift For Weekend Warrior / DD

I don't think a dropped pitman arm was ever stock. Although the previous owner could have lifted it and taken off the lift before he/she sold it. If its your daily driver, you might want to get a set of 33x10.50 mall terrains, and later invest in some beefer 33x12.50 mud tires. It kills me to...

    44 swap. Now ebrake ???'s

I put a 89 D44 into my 92, and I didn't run into any problems with the ebrake cables... Actually I think they were a bit too long, just took some of the slack out by tightening where the two cables meet under the jeep.

Best SA 4-5" Lift For Weekend Warrior / DD

Why are you gunning for a short arm lift? I think it would just be easier to get a long arm now, so you don't have to go back and buy one later. Not unless you are really on a budget... If that's the case you can always get the springs/tracbar/steering/short arms and then later upgrade just the...

    OX or Truetrac ?

Sounds like a Truetrac is the way for you if you're a DD and don't intend on crawling rocks and etc... And ARB is like $1000, OX is $850, Truetrac is $400. You could get a winch with the money you saved from the Truetrac, just a thought.

RE Track bar play, is it normal?

Thanks for the responses... I think I'm going to go through RuffStuff. I contacted Rubicon Express via email, and they said it would cost $25 for a replacement heim. And yes, this is a newer trackbar... Bought it less than a year ago. After looking for a bit, just wondering if I could put a...

RE Track bar play, is it normal?

I bought an adjustable Rubicon Express Trackbar about a year ago to stop my jeep from crab walking on a 3.5" lift. And now I'm getting some noises and weird feelings in the steering wheel. I've been under the jeep while the wifey turns the wheel back and forth trying to find what is making noise...

    OX or Truetrac ?

I say it would depend on where you're wheeling, and what your future upgrades/plans are for your rig. If you want to daily drive it in the snow and wet weather, I would say get the Truetrac. Also, I would think a limited slip is easier on your axle... ie if you don't plan on upgrading your...
