I had 245/75/16's on my 99 w/ no lift, and they fit the rears had some rub issues but not very much. I have since put a 1in. home brew lift on and they never touch. Stock jeep wheels from a ZJ(TSI) if your wondering the BS. JOE>

I was wondering if a Banks header off of a Grand of the 97(4.0) flavor will fit onto a XJ of the 99(4.0) flavor. Tanks JOE>

Have you checked all the linkage to make sure it is moving propery, maybe something got yanked loose(it looks like drive but really in another gear, my XJ will not start in gear)..... Hey itsa start.... JOE>

I have a few Xj leaf parts(main leaf, and the third and fourth) laying around, you could use some of the new leafs to freshin up the old stuff until the wallet says you can get new ones. JOE>

I would not paint them but if you really want to then I think you have to use self etching primer, and then you can paint with whatever suits your needs. I was told that the self etching primer is key when dealing with alumimimiminun. Thats what I was told at least. JOE>

Sounds like a stumper, maybe the barpins, loose shock??? Wheel bearings, transmission mount, motor mount, just brainstorming here. Possibly loose hub??? I really am not sure unless I am next to the XJ, but hope that helped with some ideas. JOE>
