Just went through that on my 95. Turned out to be a 15 amp fuse in the Power Distribution Block under the hood. It is the third fuse from the left in the row closest to the passenger side fender.I think it was Fuse Number 15. Fuse Number 11 is for the Fog Lights!

Drill the head of with a 1/4 inch drill. Drill just enough for the head to pop off and then grab what's left with a pair of vice grips and turn it out.

Do yourself a favor and check the Torque Converter bolts before you get into it to deep!

Where I live none of the dealers have the equipment to scan the Renix System. The only one who had it was an old AMC Jeep dealer who no longer exists. The Chrysler dealers didn't see it fit to buy the Scan equipment so now we are on our own around here!

I have had this type of noise on an old 87 of mine. It turned out to be loose bolts on the torque converter. It's an easy fix once you get under the truck. The noise from the back could be a worn shock bushing, that's another one of my little annoyances that I have run into!
