    What's Your Wiper Position?

X2 on Saudade, I completely refreshed my wiper bushings, while I was in there I added an improved ground to the motor and it was night and day difference. The swing was completely unpredictable before the new bushings, sometimes it would go over the edge on the drivers side, sometimes onto the...

Modified renix was running now no start

It doesn't have the central axle disconnect that the vacuum lines control to put it in 4 wheel drive. That is the connector that would go to the transfer case.

Modified renix was running now no start

The mystery connection underneath is for the old 4 wheel drive on the original front axle, I can see from the photo that the axle has been changed at some point. All of those hard lines can be removed, just make sure to cap the connections on top of the transfer case and the vacuum line that...

    NP231 On My Table

I really like my TeraFlex 2L kit, real nice for rocky trails when lowrange is needed but not 4WD makes the steering nice and it slides right into 4L. I also threw in a 6 pinion planetary while I rebuilt mine, 150$ for a little piece of mind.

    Steering Wheel Vibration

Take the tires to a shop and have them balanced, I chased a front end vibration 62-70mph forever and a lot of money in parts. Turned out it was a broken belt on the tire, no visible signs. You could even rotate the tires to see if the front end vibration goes away.

Best fuel pump assembly for 90 XJ 4.0 wondering about a Delphi unit.

Do you have a 13.5 or 20 gallon tank? I replace my assembly and fought for a year adjusting the float but could never get it right (either read too low or too high, pulled the assembly at least 10 times). I had a 13.5 tank finally went to a 20 and had to bend the float back to factory and it...

    Renix coolant temp sensors

My cousin is a Jeep/Chrysler tech, over the years of owning my rig these are are the part numbers that would be used by a dealer mechanic to replace all RENIX sensors (per him looking them up for me at the stealership). Some dealerships will luck into NOS MOPAR parts but if not the order of...

Fan bearing replacement on 89 with A/C

Clutch Fan Bearing, 808129 41-71 Jeep impeller bearing this is the part to replace the fan bearing with. There are a few videos out there showing the procedure, I have a press so it was rather easy. The extra length on the back does not impede anything and can be left, make sure to note how...
