When I get a new to me ride, I clean them up underneath and the engine bay. check that everything has oil/fluid. Then drive it for a couple weeks checking for leaks anywhere. Then start changing fluids, oil/filter, brake/clutch fluid, trans, transfer case, diffs, coolant and flush, blinker...

I was wrong 3.5v on all fan switch settings. Is the resistor behind the glove box on 85s also??

Is there much if any difference in the shape, height or gutters on the two body styles? I've built a few racks for the earlier body styled XJs, and was wondering if there was a reason one wouldn't fit the newer body style?

Some internet research and I found out the alternator shop set up the plug for the alt wrong. The exciter wire should be on the "L" pin and not the "F" pin. 400 watts of off road lights, head lights on bright and strobe lights running. Idles with 13.4 volts showing on my meter.
