    This year's trip to Colorado

Cool. I kind of miss our Mustang. Maybe we'll have one again someday... those new convertibles look pretty nice.

    This year's trip to Colorado

Unfortunately it's not going to work out this year. :( We want to go to NZ for a couple weeks in December, so no more road trips until then, other than some local stuff.

    This year's trip to Colorado

Jeeperjohn, I lived in many different places - near Munich, Stuttgart, Hannover, Kassel. The last 14 years before I moved, I lived in Göppingen, where my parents own a hotel. Used to do a lot of business with the military and I had lots of American friends as a kid whose parents were stationed...

    This year's trip to Colorado

Yes, it's beautiful, I love it. In the summer. :D I wouldn't want to deal with the winters anymore, 10 years after moving to So Cal from Germany I'm pretty spoiled that way. Anyone want to come along next year, camp out in Eureka and hit a few trails?

    This year's trip to Colorado

First things first - I can't believe it's only been 5 years since I got hooked on the "Jeep Thing". :D (Summer 2006, still in the 2WD) This year we had another week of fun wheeling with an added bonus of only very minimal trail damage, but it was over way too quickly. I'm already looking...

    Big Bear in August

Well, yeah, I like it - but I've been wanting to check out some more local stuff not going solo and keep missing out!

    Big Bear in August

Dang, I've been wanting to go back to Big Bear. Will be wheeling in Colorado at that time though.

L.A. to Seattle and back again: 2600+ miles in 7 Days

Crazy. My limit is about 14 hours, and that's taking turns driving between my husband and I. I can pull off about 8 hours a day straight by myself with only necessity stops, but beyond that my vision just goes downhill.

L.A. to Seattle and back again: 2600+ miles in 7 Days

Wow, on a bicycle? Respect. I'm not only not in shape for that kind of a trip, but there are some stretches where I'd be scared to ride along the road, especially on weekend days. The thought of enjoying the scenery that way sure is appealing though. :)

L.A. to Seattle and back again: 2600+ miles in 7 Days

What can I say, I love road trips. Even if they are more on pavement than off. Since my Jeep's fuel efficiency isn't that good, I can't afford to take it on long trips as much as I want to, but this time I had a good excuse. :D The highlights: my Jeep now has a sunroof, I visited parts of the...

    Lockwood/Miller Jeep Trail 06/05/10

Yes, it's open. This time I actually checked, after we ended up in front of the closed gate about 4 weeks ago :o : http://www.mordanna.com/photos/viewer.php?albid=189&stage=2&imgid=5362

    Lockwood/Miller Jeep Trail 06/05/10

Nope, just someone we came across. We went solo. The vehicle wasn't parked in the stream though, just right next to the water where the trail makes a sharp turn uphill. Isn't it lovely? I didn't think there would still be any poppies around! :)

    Lockwood/Miller Jeep Trail 06/05/10

We went on a spur of the moment outing yesterday to scout out the trail. In hindsight, the trip was a bit longer than I would have liked for "just an afternoon", but it was an interesting ride with lots of great views. Too bad that so much of the area burned down, it must have been beautiful...
