    Disk Brake Question

C'mon, guys. Isn't there anybody on here who knows something about brakes that can provide any information about this?

    Disk Brake Question

I bought a set of cross drilled front rotors off the Pure Performance web site. The only pads I saw that were offered were the carbon fiber pads, so I bought a set of those. They stop great, much better than the stock brakes, but now they have begun to squeal once they get warmed up. My...

Bridgestone A/T Revo - first impressions!!!

I agree wholeheartedly! I also have a '01 XJ that's "Bone Stock" with the A/T Revo's on it. I've had my tires for a couple of months now and they are sensational. They stick like glue to every surface I've had them on. I can't wait for winter snow because I know they'll be great there, too...

    Tires

RTS, I have a '01 Classice with upcountry and I'm running 245/70-16's with only a very little rubbing on full lock. Nothing serious.

    Maine in August -- CANCELLED!

I've never been to Maine before but I'm renting a cottage in Boothbay Harbor from the 16th to the 23rd of August. I can't wait. Everybody I know who has been up there says it's great. Maybe a return trip in October will be even better.

    Brake Rotor Advice Solicited......

I bought a set of the Pure Performance cross drilled rotors. They were $95 each and the carbon fiber pads were $65 for the set. They stop very well--better than the old rotors/pads, but recently they've started squealing. Is this because of the carbon fiber or something else. Anyone have any...

    Rotor warpage

I just bought the cross drilled rotors from Pure Performance. They are great and I doubt they'll have that same warping problem. '01 XJ Classic with UpCountry

    New Tires

I just bought new tires for my '01 XJ Classic today. Boy, are they smooth! I bought the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo. The specs on them are great. They're supposed to be awesome in dry, wet, mud or snow. I doubt they would be good for crawling over rocks, but I don't know. For my purposes...

    Front Discs

First time around they only made it to 13,000. Now, I'm a little over 38,500. I just don't feel like going through this every 15 or 20K miles, so I figured there must be something out there that would maybe give a little better performance and not have the warping problem.

    Front Discs

Chuck, I'm not sure I understand your question. My brakes stop fine, or as you say, "as good as it can". That's not the problem. The problem is that after awhile they get warped, which, if I understand what I'm hearing on this forum, seems to be a design flaw in that Chrysler went from an...

Will resurfacing a brake rotor, remove warpage???

Hey, Manuel, where online did you order the Raybestos disks? I have the same problem with my 2001 XJ. What pads will you be using with them?

    Front Discs

I have a 2001 XJ Classic and my front discs have begun to vibrate again, which I'm sure means they have warped again. The first time they were replaced by the dealer, but now I'm out of warranty and besides I'd rather find an aftermarket set of rotors that won't warp. Can someone tell me where...
