    I have a drop kit on mine because the long arm is not available. I really tried to wait for RE to release the LA, but couldn't wait. I am pleased with the drop bracket 5.5 Extreme from RE. Ride is great and I am happy with it. I went all through Tellico and never hit the brackets...

    231 t-case linkage - WTF??

    I actualyl found the problem. The rod that moves the gears inside was not cut short enough. When you put in a SYE, sometimes the rod has to be cut so the adapter cover will fit. It needed to be grinded another 1/4" or so. Got it to go into 4 hi, but I need to grind some more so it will go...

    I just swapped a NP231 tcase into the 90 limted. I have a hell of a time getting it into 4wd....actually, I am not getting it. Anyone have a photo of the linkage? If you are looking at the tcase from the driverside, does linkage go clockwise or counter? I am not totally positve that it is...

    Pinion Preload - HELP!!!

    I meant setup race. To set the pinion depth, it saved me a lot of time. Also, I cut 2 vees in the baffle that goes between the pinion race and the diff so I didn't have to take it out to set the pinion preload. Finally got it...talk about a PITA!

    Alright, I just figured out how the RCD30 pinion gear is to be setup. I have the right amount of backlash, correct pattern, etc. I am ready to install the pinion preload shims. How is this done? Am I to torque the pinion bolt to 200-300 lb-lbs and have about 12 in-lbs to turn the gear? FYI...
