Those guys screwed up last year when the hijacked that cargo ship carying russian tanks (military tanks) and held them for ramsom. A friend of mine bought one for his son from Academy. The finish seems decent for the price. They took it on a quail hunt a couple months ago and his boy hit damn near every quail that he aimed at. They're good cases. A little on the pricey side, but worth it if you really need to protect something delicate. It's hard to come off of that kind of money for a plastic case, but once you hold one in your hand you can see why the cost is where it's at. I will pick one up for my nikon soon.

When I put the RE 3.5 lift on my 2000 the u-joints were binding so bad that I could barely get out of the driveway with it. So it's not necessarily a "waste" with a "small" lift.
