Great write up but I do have a question. I have charged the battery no problem there, all the lights work, etc. when try to crank get a click. (It is an automatic, 2000 sport with the 4.0.) Here is the odd part, I can crank it with a jump start from another car? What does this rule out? I assume...
Thanks for all the info. I have a good idea of what I am going to have to do. I don't smoke so that answers that. I live near greenvile MS and as far as I know there is only one automotive upholstery place nearby (the same one that said you can't reglue the fiberglass board and that mopar didn't...
I have a 2000 XJ and the headliner has started the dreaded sag. I checked with a local car upholster and he told me that later model XJ's like mine went to a fiberglass headliner board and that they can not effectively be re-done. I have trouble believing this, anyone tried with a 2000? If so...

I had the opportunity when I bought my 2000 XJ sport to either get it or a 1999 wrangler, both were stock. I went with the XJ cause of the extra room inside and it still seemed to have that "jeepness" that I wanted. Lets face it a great many people want jeeps but only because of the stigma, the...
I am looking at getting a bored out TB. I am looking at either one by Leigh or one by thefastman. One is 62mm and the other is 63mm and I can't say that I can think of any reason in reality why that 1 mm would make a difference. Anyone have an opinion on this one? any ideas would be helpful.
From what I have read and been made to understand 31's are really as large as you can get with only 2 inchs of lift without having some rub issues or other issues.
I agree with everyone about buying new springs, the sag is an issue with the springs in the 2000-2001 models just like all Xj's apparently. I bought mine used and after about a month of hauling my camping gear around I had a low rider. I got new what the parts list called 4X4 heavy duty springs...
