Lipstick on a pig
![]() After the Grand Canyon trip I had been on the lookout for upgraded shocks. My family comes from the Mojave desert, and I’ve had friends involved in desert racing for while. Some shocks from a certain white XJ that a YouTuber owned came up for a crazy good deal. Granted I never wanted to go with a coilover conversion. For the cost and what I wanted to do with the rig, I felt it would be an absolute waste of money. But the deal was too good to pass up. Coilovers and bypasses that were already tuned for an XJ? Done. And so I let the Mad Scientist loose on the XJ. Armed with a plasma cutter and a tig welder he got to work… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Lipstick on a pig
![]() While I’m sure all of this could have been done far simpler with some Ruff Stuff coil towers…the harder (but better?) road was taken. The fab nerd that is my brother took this as a blank canvas upon which to paint his master piece… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Lipstick on a pig
This bring us up to speed as of last weekend. Engine cage is nearly done. Waiting on the removable cross section that goes over the valve cover to be done. It is getting a full internal cage (which in keeping with the theme of the build, be very clean), rear will still be leaf sprung but front and rear will have hydro bumps.

Re: Lipstick on a pig
That console is beautiful. The XJ console has always bugged me. Your brother did a great job of coming up with a better design. My compliments to him.

Ohhh man I love it.
Please beat on the rcvs. I think the 30 will now take most abuse. Thank you for the photos Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk |

So far the RCVs have held up. From my understanding the R&P is now the weak link. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

No new pictures. Ordered a new water pump, and had almost the entire engine bay rewired.
