Do the bolts holding the brackets usually come out without breaking, stripping or braking the captive nuts loose? Any secrets I should be aware of? I need to loosen the sway bar brackets to install a front receiver hitch.
Thanks,
Bill

I had to install a fry hitch on my 98 xj no problem taking it off but I did strip the captive nut when I put the bar back on.

Plenty of penetrating oil and heat, go slow and work the bolt back and forth.

I snapped a captive nut off the frame rail on mine because i didnt use heat. Northeast/New England XJ
