So i can't seem to find.consistent info anywhere.
89 4.0 all stock.

what color injector?

currently has black injectors. #6 has corrosion on prongs all others are clean.

cleaned grounds. definitely runs a ton smoother but super rich still.

just want to clarify what is correct injectors.....

I don't know that color will tell you flow rate, as much as manufacturer. I have a set off of the 90 that are just sitting around, if you want to play with changing them.

That would be groovy if i could Fred.
I've found charts and retailers with conflicting color/flow charts.

you know where I live. I think my stock ones were black, but I'm too lazy to go look.

The stock ones from my 90 are all metal, with black plastic at the connector.

Sure. Currently, I have two of them sitting on the front porch. I can look for more tomorrow.

That's what mine are........
some sights agree with that. others say it has to be orange.

ok. so would one bad injector cause it to seem so rich or should i look elsewhere?

I'll just add that I replaced them with matched 4-hole injectors from precision ???, and it made little to no difference in the performance of the 90. My 90 has always shown rich at the tail pipe, and at the plugs. It always passed emissions with flying colors when we had them here. Is the CPS a high altitude version? If it is the sensor is not centered in the mounting ears. Putting a high altitude CPS in the 90 made more difference than any other mod.

No my hi alt cps is still at leds. :/

ya it runs.REALLY well. just if you rev it up its a big black poof of exhaust. :dunno:

no idea on fuel.economy.

Ya know, if one plug isn't massively covered with carbon, as compared to the rest, I'd have to doubt the injectors. They either work, don't open, or stay open. If one wasn't opening, I'd think it would feel like a miss, if one was stuck open, I'd think the plug would be very carboned, since there is always pressure in the fuel rail.
