Your kidding right? PORC has got the 100% worst rep on Pirate (the largest off road board there is) and are consistently making customers wait 2-4weeks for parts. I USED to order from them (about 10K so far in parts) but when I started back in like 2002 buying from them, they were decent back then. About 2 years ago they started going down hill FAST! Not to mention all their gears are yukon value line stuff! The cheapest gear sets you can get. Is saving 10$ (if even that) worth putting cheap crap in your axle? And not to mention possibly waiting 2 weeks to get it all? They will tell you they have it in stock then when they find out they dont, they wont call you or email you, nada. You just wait and wait, till you call then you get the story that they showed them in stock and they are coming from another warehouse and they will be there "tomorrow" only to have to wait another few more days to a weeks.

That locker is NOT "identical " to ANY other locker! you must not have bought or actually seen one?

It is very different. Pins are about double the thickness, the springs are about double the diameter, they come with a cross pin, and you install it in one shot all assembled. Way different. Only similarity is that yes its a auto locker with teeth that engage with poss or neg force applied to the cross pin.

I can get you that same locker for less or a Detroit EZ-Locker for about 170. Not to mention gears I sell are actually in a Real box direct from the manufacture with a True manufacture warranty and no guessing when you will get it or IF you will get it. And best part, is that Motive Gear is Quality stuff... No value line crap.

Yes... as he said...

Good Luck.

I had a great experience with them and recommend them. More than i can say for your prices and or professional conduct. I also didnt purchase yukon gears from them so i dont knwo what you are talking about. Go my stuff in less than 3 days so waiting for 2 weeks was not what i experienced. Say what you will, but i had an awesome experience and would not hesitate to go back.

Yes you did, buy only you didnt know it. That’s their game. They sell you gear sets out of the box in Only Styrofoam and taped up. NO box so you don’t know who they come from. And as for 3 days, that’s the EXTREAMLY odd case right there. You must have paid for extra shipping then? They are located in back east and no matter who you use for shipping, unless its air shipped, your at 4 days Just in shipping.

As for service, it’s too bad your bad mouthing and arrogant web attitude got put back on you and you didn’t like it. I have over a 300 very happy customers in the last month or two that have not once said different. And since you never ordered from me, you cant comment on service one way or the other.

And as for prices. Looking at what you paid to buy from PORC, you paid more for their low grade gears then you would have for my name brand quality parts… Sorry you made a poor discission as to your purchase, but I wouldnt go recommending a company that has more negitive feedback then possitive.

Here I will help him and others or think otherwise.

A quick 30 sec search....

Now show me one person that has not been happy with my parts, price or service? Exactly..... Just you cause you got called out on your web wheeling attitude...

Web wheeling? umm sure pal... that's all i do. Your gonna do and say what ever it takes to get this guy to buy from you. I dont blame you, you gotta make money right? thats why you are in here selling parts. Plus im sure you will make an intelligent remark on how you make X amount of money in a month and own a big ass house and what have you. Im not gonna get into it with you cause it would be a waste of my time and frankly, i could give 2 shits wether he buys from you or anyone else. Simply tried to help him out by giving him so info. If you dont like it thats your problem not mine.

Have a good day.

Back to your question at hand.
Typically;
Gears D30 should be about 125$
at least a basic install kit - 25$
Spartan Insert locker 239$

D44 from a XJ 100$ from pick ur part or ecology or 250 -300 from somewhere here.
D44 gears - 125$
Basic install kit 25$

total - 839 plus tax on the new parts - 886$ total and then the 200$ for gear install labor - 1086. total for locked front, and new gears front and rear and dana 44 rear you should be able to get away for under 1100..

Ive been at this game for a long time, I also have met Robert. He seemed like a nice guy when I hung out with him. (Actually had a great time) Thanks for a straight forward answer! I need to see if he has a LP or HP dana30. I think its gonna cost him a bit more than he thinks after we do the sye etc. We can probably do the labor since we are down here in Diego.

Ive never seen a spartan, but my front lockright has served some hard time and is still just fine. I bet that spartan would work great for him.

Yeah, i know what you mean. Some of the stuff on my rig is either used, hand me downs and a few here and there are new. Building on a budget is fun :p

I cant complain though as the aussies work well for me for the stuff i wheel. When it comes for more heavy duty parts, well... ill look into it then. That or until something breaks. :p

What rear end do you have? i belive Elias is selling a 8.25 29 spline with 4.56's for cheap.

Good luck

Oh and since you are in SD i think JeeperJOhn is closest to you for Re-gearing. He's in temecula. PM him, He's a good guy.

I might be heading out to SD soon so if you need it trained out there let me know. Elias is just 15 mins away from me.
