No confirmation yet on if this guy is the shooter - but either way, how the hell is he out in society???

Washington and Arkansas, you both fail at Justice systems....

We need more prisons in this country - or better yet, island prison on Wake Island or Johnston Atoll area...

Or more firing squads? Life in prison is expensive. Bullets are cheap. Give or take 50 years, they all send them to the same place...

problem is prisons are reactions to problems, there needs to be more pro-active measures taken to weed people like this out.
its odd how people will say marijuana is considered a "gateway drug" which leads to bigger/badder drugs. but petty thieves get slaps on the wrists, hoping they learn from their mistakes.

different country and all up here, but I am all for actually punishing people, not tossing them in prison to receive free rides and access to drugs, etc.

bring back the whip/switch/cane/public disgracing/etc... real punishments for crimes.
one strike, fine slap on the wrist hope they learn.
two strikes and their pictures are posted in public, maybe a switch on the hands instead of a slap on the wrist.

they should back a cement/water truck up to this guys house and fill it in.

That guy was insane, read the article. He thought he was Jesus and that Obama was coming to see him soon to confirm he was the "messiah in the flesh"
O and the thought he could fly...

One way to prove that. Take him up about 10,000' and push him out the back of an airplane....

Let us know how that works out for you, "messiah"....

You are all missing the real point here.

This is the fault of the NRA and their absolute refusal to permit nationwide gun confiscation.

For this poor, underprivileged, victim of American racism, there was no choice but to steal a firearm, knife, club, or pipe and seek justice against the system that oppressed him.

Shame on you supporters of the NRA!

The preceding infomercial has been brought to you by the LSD Zombies. :confused1

(Liberal Socialist Democrats).

If feel sorry for the families of the LEOs.

Lakewood Police Independent Guild Press Release

This morning a complete coward and threat upon all of society took the lives of four of my Guild members and your sworn protectors in a cold blooded assassination. As I write this I am numb. We were dealt a nasty blow, good men and women I have had the honor of knowing for years are senselessly gone. There is no way to comprehend it, to validate it, or to make sense of any of it. You cannot understand evil like this, as a community we must form a solid bond against criminals and hold them accountable. I know my members and can say with certainty that as a group we will remain professional and will continue to work to protect those of you we have taken an oath to protect.

If you know a cop tell them how much you appreciate them, it truly keeps us going. Our job can be a routine at times and simply terrifying without a moments warning at others. As we seek to hold this cop killer accountable we must also hold our elected officials accountable to keep violent predators off of our streets. They do not only prey on officers, they prey on our community daily and are responsible for the vast majority of crime in our neighborhoods.

Please pray for these officers and their families. All of them had significant others and children who are left behind along with countless family members. As a Guild we will do anything we can. If you wish to donate to the families our Guild has an account for this purpose. Every penny will go to the families; if you want to donate to a specific officer you can write his or her name in the memo section. If the check is made out to LPIG at PO Box 99579 Lakewood, WA 98499, I will personally make sure it goes where it is intended. Our site administrators are working on secured online donation button on the our site as this is being written. By tomorrow we should also have a donation option at Bank of America. May God bless you four who are in a place so much better than this; you are some of the finest professionals I have ever known. God bless our community today.

Lakewood Police Independent Guild

*ahem* -FROM The article, "He had a lengthy prison sentence commuted in 2000 by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who cited Clemmons' youth."
you can blame the justice system, but it looks like huckabee XXXXed up, and people died because of his judgement. its lame that he blames the justice system, when its a direct result of his actions... huckabee is sounding like a liberal.

...the police guild is REALLY abbreviated lpig? lawl.

Yep, Huckabee commuted the sentence from 108 years to 47 years, 5 months, and 19 days. In 2000. That means this guy should still be in prison until 2047 or 2048. Why is he (allegedly) out here killing people in 2009?

Parole board. Of course he violated his parole with a violent crime in 2004. So why is he out here (allegedly) killing people in 2009? Parole board.

Seems that the common factor for why this particular person can be killing (allegedly) people in 2009, when he shouldn't be out of prison until 2047 or 2048, would be the parole board.

I vote that all parolees must live with the families of parole board members for the full duration of their parole. Do I hear a second?

Not just Huck, blame this guy's Mother for giving birth to him. Seriously, there were several chances to keep this guy behind bars, but MANY failed.

The guy was put back in prison multiple times after Huckabee shortened ONE of the guy's sentences. Huckabee didn't take the keys and unlock the guy's cell 10 minutes before the guy shot the cops.....

C'mon XCM....really?

yup, really.

tell me with a straight face, if obama had pardoned him, that you wouldnt be bringing this up, dont act like im pullin shit outta left field.

i know im 'dissagree-able' BUT REALLY, even if huckabee is one of 15 idiots who helped this idiot get out, is he still not responsible? im the bad guy for saying one guy who pardoned this guy should eat the results of his own actions?

Yeah, too many seat belt violators to prosecute for anyone to pay much attention to this guy.

Backpedal all you want, you initially came across as though it was all his fault. ;)

All right, who told xcm he was disagreeable?

We all said at the meeting we were going to keep that information from him! Now who spilled the beans? :D

lols

i just gave you the first name, to start the investigation, sinse you seemed so at a blank on where to start the blame.
eckjay: as usual, you disregard my point, and backpedal as well. textbook troll.

go ahead, respond to my obama comment.

You're disrespecting the dead and are far out of your lane. Grow up.
Hm? I actually agree that Huckabee is partially to blame for this man being on the streets. His rap sheet was already pretty rough by the time he was locked up the first time. The rest of the justice system failed at not catching the fact that this guy was violent and a habitual offender and letting him get paroled.

Not sure where anyone is disrespecting the dead. :dunno:
