Transmission mount angle? yes, no?

So I bought a new tranny mount from O'reily's and it has an angle to the thing wear the crossmember bolts up to it. In other words it's not flat. Is it supposed to have an angle and if it is which way does the angle go?

I'm pretty sure it has a left and a right. Bolt it up to your transmission and put up the crossmember. If the studs don't line up with the crossmember, turn the mount around.

I guess the same can be said for the angle so just make it fit. The angle doesn't scare me.
