It's an absolute must. Without it the panard bar will rip your unibody to peices in the bumps, quick...

The Barnett S/B brace shouldnt interfere with any of the aftermarket panard braces.

Mine is nowhere near the parnard brace that came with the F/T kit

I don't race, but run a trackbar brace and I can tell the different in how my Jeep handles with one vs without. RE make one, designed to bolt up their trackbar bracket. I fabbed my own.

I used an old rough country trackbar I had, I believe it is 1"x.188" wall dom but don't remember, those are NOT bushings on the ends, they are a piece of 1"x.250" wall DOM on one side then a piece of 1.5" x .120" dom capped with .250" plate with holes drilled on the psnger side. with 1/2"x20tpi bolts, no slop.

Do all the RE brackets have the predrilled hole on them for the brace? reason I ask is I just picked up the brace and apparetly my 6+ y/o bracet has no holes present

my RE bracket came with the holes when i bought i 2 years ago. i just bought a used RE brace a few months ago it bolted it right up

I bet you could find out where its supposed to be and just drill a hole

Slightly different approach I took on my Rusty's bracket...

Boxed in the open section and added two welded nuts:

Made the brace:

Added a few holes in the frame reinforcements on the passenger side:

Goes like this, the other two bolts on the passenger side are in the 'mirrored' bolt holes for a RHD trackbar:

Not to hijack, but does anyone know if these are made by anyone to fit a ZJ?

Last I checked the RE one didn't fit the ZJ and they did not plan to make one that did.

i have not seen these for a zj, thats why i plan to modify my IRO bracket to mount a brace from it.
