To-do List

You could try putting another seal in, isn't that like the last thing that goes in before you slam the pitman arm on? Admittedly a steering box is one of the few remaining things I've never rebuilt on an XJ.

You have to pull the sector shaft to replace that seal. I'll be replacing it in my Dodge this weekend.

Also, there's a guy local to me selling a PSC box.

yea, i don't have time to wait for a new seal to get here and really don't want to tear the box apart again and chance it failing again.

Dyno Day on Monday
Limit straps
bolt in driveshafts
devise a mount for my ecu
bleed brakes.
hope everything works nice.

then there is what has turned into the maybe list:

drink Ross's beer and make him bend me a hoop to connect my coilover towers.
battery cutoff switch.
swap out rear tailgate for one with less holes
install sick 70's V8 badges
trim front fenders slightly
add rock lights.

I spend as much time updating this list as I do working on the jeep. But it makes me feel like Im accomplishing stuff.

flex and check clearance everywhere

Did none of this, and built a light bar instead. I don't want Adam to get scared when he has to work on his Land Rover in the dark.

thanks :laugh3:

i finally got my lightbar aimed correctly after shimming, trimming, etc. what a pain in the dick. topped off my fluids, and bought some threaded rod to make a j-hook for my battery tie down and will toss two tie downs in the trunk tomorrow too after work. also need to grease my front driveshaft and i should be all set.

All packed and ready to go. Meeting Rob & Johnny (they better be on time!) in the morning then headed out of here.

See most of you tomorrow around the fire!
