this is going back in thime but i never showed how i did the front bumper/winch mount.
started with this

cut the front cross member out and slide this on

added tubing

some more

winch bolted up and some solid stock I added to run the winch rope through(keep it out of the pullys) down to the axle for a suck down

all done and getting paint

decided to chop the back off and add a comanche tailgate

3 cuts and about 2 min later I had this

cut and shorten the bumper that I just built 6 months ago to bring it in tighter the the body and started to add tube.

made some end caps for the bumper that double as d-rings

tube along the top of the "bedrail"

took it off and welded all my miter joints and somthed them out for a clean look

closed up the sheet metal around the roof and down the pillar where the window use to sit

tied into the cage

getting the tailgate fitted up and working

cut the top of the tailgate off to sink a tube into it and added 14 ga to fill in the from the tube to the tailgate supports , led taillights will go here:smokin:

Headed out to a local offroad park for the first time after the chop, I don't have any good action shots yet but a few posers the rig worked great only had to winch once cause it was quite wet between the rocks.

The back looks very similar to Timmays old XJ.
