Late model console concept

Completed Console w/ ARB switches and trans cooler gauge

Powered sub mounted under rear seat. Had to notch out bump to fit sub low enough to clear seat.

More dynomat added and carpet was reinstalled.

I posted this in my build thread, but I figured I would post it here too.

I didn't have work today so I didn't have anything to do. Then I remembered this.

So I went to Wally world and Joann fabric and grabbed a small brush, a cheap pair of scissors, a can of 3m super 77, and 3 yards of some camo fleece fabric.

So I'm sure you're all familiar with how this process goes, you just remove all your trim pieces and it pretty much falls out.

Pulled the fabric and brushed off the old foam.

Here it is all glued and covered.

And installed.

Reviving a post here, but my search hasn't gotten me very far. So a question, has anyone installed 97 and newer door panels in a 96 or older? Do they fit?

Why do you have a mount for ear muffs? What are you routinely doing to justify a mount for them?

But seriously I need to make a new dash and a cover for my gastank. Which is I suppose an interior mod along with the wheel wells.

I'm thinking that they don't just bolt up on the inside. I think some placements are different, especially the window regulators. I got an inner skin from a newer model and the holes don't line up for my '92. But it's doable & I'm thinking that it wouldn't take much to make 'em fit. Wonder why this question is hanging ...?

I haven't done it but I did research it a long time ago. IIRC its possible but you have to replace the internals and drill new holes.

Did the ZJ console lid with cup holders today. Even got a latch working fairly easy. It sits much higher than the stock console lid but looks fairly nice.

I made this fine foot rest. No pics of it installed, as it is currently out since I've been working on the Jeep. Makes the drives much nicer though having a place for your foot.

Couple of bolts thru the floor. I have no carpet so that was no big deal. There's some tabs at the front and back of the rest.
