FS: 2001 Subaru Forester

In May of last year. Looking to get myself a Forester XT.

If I felt like parting it out, it would end up having some Jeeps parked on it.

With all your experience in lowered vehicles, what problems do you run into?

My 2005 mazda 6 needed new balljoints after about 4-5 years and 80k miles or so. I figured while I was in there yanking arms out that I might as well replace the shocks and struts. While I'm doing that, might as well give it a slight drop. I ended up with a 3/4 name brand drop spring and new KYB's all the way around as well as a bigger HD rear swaybar.

Now, the balljoints go out much more frequently. The parts were from rockauto...deeza and mevotech. They didn't have moog back when I did this. I'm thinking about biting the bullet and just spending the $250-300 on all 4 new arms in moog flavor and getting it done.

This is the only experience Ive had with lowered cars.

I haven't had to replace anything so far, not sure what the PO did replace suspension/steering wise though.

I do know that I will never put coilovers on any daily driver in Texas...

Way too stiff for the amazing roads we have around here.
