So I have been here a while, this isn't my first XJ (3rd? 4th?), but it is the latest addition to the fleet. (According to the state and my wife, 9 vehicles is considered a fleet. Who knew)

2000 Classic 132K miles, she is clean!
The mall was too far away, so I went driveway crawlin.

Already have the Zone 4.5", new trackbar. Ordered the Hack-N-Tap SYE kit yesterday, looking for bumpers front and rear.

That will be sick! Nice find!

It already has member stickers; same as wheeling on a temporary registration!

What?! I'm a double red letter member, since about 2009!

I put those stickers on when I took the pictures.

Ah! Well, I don't know when you took them, just when you posted them.

How long have you had this cream puff?

About a month, but I had to go through the abandoned vehicle process to get it. Finally completed and picked up the title and plates yesterday.

How hard was that? Looks pretty clean

1) State title search
2) Notify registered owner by certified mail
3) Complete VIN inspection
4) Complete Colorado DR2008A
5) Ad in Denver Post Legals
6) Dealer bill of sale
7) Register for new title and plates

Not bad, takes about 45 days from start to finish. I do it a lot for work, so I have lots of practice.

45 days... That explains why you don't keep recovered vehicles around very long.

I'm actually required by the state to sell or scrap a vehicle within 30 days of completing the paperwork. Otherwise I have to start the paperwork all over again.

Starting the lift install today!

I am open to suggestions for important fixes on the front end as you guys see them. I already have the steering box brace and carrier bearing planned. Sway bar disconnects too.

Longer brake lines for sure

On the list! Thanks!

I think the PO did the bracket relocation, but after getting everything disconnected the axle was hanging by the brake lines and control arms. So I ordered them today.

New springs in

New track bar. Little beefier than the original. I found it was easier to just pull the whole bracket rather than trying to deal with the castle nut and cotter while in the Jeep.

Not sure I like the bump stop angles. Hopefully everything lines up when it's on it's own suspension.

Boom, just like on TV!

During the break we installed the lift, extended brake lines, new trackbar, new shocks all around, disco swaybar links, bled the brakes, aligned the front end, AND had a bonfire with everyone who helped fund this episode. (Me, and my kid until 8pm...)

Bump steer is a bit bad now, but no vibrations through 75!

Looking forward to Chinaman!

New tires on, ordered SYE today. We will see how fast shipping is, hope to get it installed this week.

Looks damn good! Hope to see you on a run soon! :)

I meant to be in Buena Vista this last weekend, but you can't argue when the wife says "It's going to be warmer in the desert, let's go to Moab." it's hard to argue.
