I had made some calls today. It seems that the pressure is not from conservationists but from 29 Palms and MCLB. They want to utilize the area in debate for additional Marine training area. The area will not be "preserved" but given to another entity within Uncle Sam for their use!

I was just thinking they close the trails ill make my own trails in the city, I'm sure they will love that!
