I have an 89 Cherokee base model 4.0, AW4 that was stored in a barn for 15 years. I've just got it running and am now fixing some of the necessary cosmetic stuff.
Current problem: the barn was home to fruit bats, which pooped all over the windshield. This appears to have etched the glass to the point where visibility is an issue. Has anyone else had this problem, and do you have any fixes? Replacing the windshield, isn't an option....long story, but I can't get a replacement locally.
What I've tried so far:
detergent
fine steel wool
razor blade
silver polish
Any tips or advise is greatly appreciated.
