i posted this in oem tech but didn't get any responses so here goes...
alright i searched, and i knwo that the tailshafts are different lengths, etc etc. well heres my question. i have a 4wd auto now, and its f-ed. i think the flexplate is cracked, its wore out, etc etc. but i'm sure that the tailshaft is fine. so if i got a 2wd auto, how much work would it be to swap the 4wd tailshaft, tcase adapter, etc onto the 2wd trans? i saw somewhere that it would require a rebuild of the trans which is no big deal. i guess the simple question is, can it be done?
