A simple "Me" reply will do. I'm just trying to get a count of how many of us are out there, and who wants to get a piece of DC for ignoring this issue? Just looking for 2000 & 2001 XJ's w/ the 0331 cast heads. Thanks for participating.

*and yes, I realize this horse has been long...
Has anyone used this stuff before? I'm redoing my whole cooling system and was wondering if anyone has any knowledge about this stuff. It's supposed to be great coolant, never has to be changed, and it's supposedly non-toxic to animals. Check it out. It seems pretty nice.
Found it while...
I suppose I'm just afraid of more problems due to the low oil pressure problem. It might be overkill, but I'm just trying to get rid of the problem the first time. I might be over-reacting though.
I'm in LA (Lower Alabama), Fort Rucker, to be exact.
I have been doing some research and have come to the conclusion that I have a micro-crack in my 0331 cast head on my 4.0l. Therefore, I want to replace my entire engine...I don't know what kind of damage has been done running with contaminated oil for this long.
Does anyone have any idea of...
Has anything more come of this thread? I've been having nearly identical problems for a while. I was considering replacing my sender and seeing if that'd work but from what I've read here it'd be pointless. DC will never fess up to their crappy 0331 heads, will they? So I'm just waiting for...
First off, let me exuse myself because I am nicely beer'd up. Now that that's out of the way...
Is anyone on this forum from the Fort Rucker/Enterprise area? If so, can you point me in the right direction for some nice relatively easy rides in the area? The Army has sent me to Fort Rucker for...
I appreciate the help guys. Being in flight school doesn't afford me a lot of time to take care of stuff like this, and now I at least have a direction to go in. Saves me from wasting any time. You guys rock, and I'll get back when i figure something out.

Okay, I posted a few days ago looking for a good source for a radiator. I got a few replies and those of you who helped out, thank you. I am going to replace it, but I have a question just to help me obatin a better understanding of cooling systems.
Here's the problem:
I have a coolant...
Quick. I need a few tips on where to get a decent radiator for my XJ. Trying to keep the cost under $200. 2000 4.0, auto, w/ A/C. Tips? Are these CSF's worth a damn? I've heard some mixed responses about 'em.

20 PSI? Good lord...Forget the pump gas. Better have a pretty good size intercooler in there, too.
I'm not sure if I'd feel safe about taking a 20 PSI turbo set-up away from civilization...
I've got a '00 XJ 4.0 4x4 auto. A friend of mine (Big Red Comanche) has a lift on his '88 4.0 4x2 5-spd MJ that he wants to replace. I was wondering if it would fit my XJ or would it require come modification?

Why drum brakes? Somebody must have a decent explanation about why drum brakes are still being used. Mechanically, it seems to me that discs are so much easier and don't have as many issues. I'm just wondering in these wee hours of the mornin'.
That is all. Wasn't nearly as difficult as I had built myself up for. Before I get flamed, I have done brake jobs before, just never on an XJ. I couldn't believe how easy it was. I had both sides done in under an hour.
Just let me revel in my own glory for a few minutes...:laugh3:
Oh...
Oh, I agree. I would much rather have a life where I was in control vs. one where everything is provided for me. I prefer to work for what I got. But unfortunately, this country has become more and more socialist. The squeaky wheel and all that...
