Hey everyone, I've got my XJ for sale, and I'd like to see it go to a good home. I know there are enthusiasts of all kinds on this site, and ultimately the right place for this Jeep is with an enthusiast. The Jeep is located in Roanoke, Virginia. There are ~90 pictures of the Jeep on the...
The Bushwacker flares do add quite a bit of coverage, especially in the front, so I ended up using them all around. The track looked really narrow without them.
I stuck some 1.25" Spidertrax spacers on there along with the flares, as the track was a bit too narrow without. I'm not having and issues with LCA rub at the moment, but I haven't driven it much lately, as I've been tweaking the suspension and steering. The last bits I needed(rear axle shims...
I wish the Gunners would go on right about now! The lift is a 4.5" OME/DPG lift with some of my own additions for about 6" in total. Now wearing Bushwacker flat flares, as well:
Thanks! I'm really pleased with the way it came out. The tires are Treadwright Guard Dog M/Ts on BFG AT carcasses, but yeah, MTR tread pattern. Size is 265/70R17.
Your truck looks great! Would you mind sharing the specifics of your lift? I'm considering doing this to my truck, and I'd like to have an idea if I'm going to be able to fit these.
I run the yellow Ford Injectors in my RENIX truck, no problems at all. In fact, a noticeable gain in performance over the original(and dirty I'm sure) OEM injectors. Bought them on eBay for about $75, rebuilt, flow-tested, and matched. And the same vendor has the ones you may need. Read this...
I have the 45x60" with lights front and rear and it fits great. I'll get some pictures for you later so you can see what it looks like, but that's a good size to go with. If anything, I may have wanted it a little longer(Maybe the 50x72"), but I love it. I had my spare up there for a while...
I am in the process of converting my '89 Limited to the later 1-key setup so I can get rid of the nonsense GM 2-key system. I am using parts from a '91 XJ, but I am having a heck of a time finding new key blanks for it. The Chrysler dealer has told me they are discontinued, and I am finding a...
I know that lighting upgrades are a very popular modification for most of us, but I wanted to share my upgrade and the results. I will preface this by saying that I am relatively new to domestic vehicles, but not to vehicle modifications. I have always upgraded the lighting on my vehicles...
As I mentioned in the original post, I can not do the loop and clamp or modify the cables due to safety inspection regulations. So neither of those options are viable.
Did you use one of each, or two of the long ones, or two of the short ones?
This is the kind of info I'm after, because I...
