Took the broken NSS and pieces from another one and put one back together and resoldered the wires so the NSS is correctly wired again. Unhooked the battery again and reset the computer. Still does not want to shift out of 1-2 until you reach redline. So if I am on the interstate adn get to...
First I was having issues with the NSS. Since mine was cracked from trying to get it off last time and a buddy had a spare, I cut the wires and bypassed the NSS. No problems jeep ran fine. In the meantime I bored my throttle out to 60mm, below the valve/flapper/plate/whatever you want to call...
OK this heating issue does not concern the fan speed issues. Got that issue also but found info on that. What happens is my heat is always on the hottest temp. If I turn it to cold its still hot. The dial acts and feels like there is a spring somewhere that wants to pull it back to the hot side...
Quick questions just so I understand.
1. You put the regular sifter into Drive and then use this to shift gears correct?
2. I can see the advantages of being able to leave it in 1 for hill descent control and 3 for towing or better gas mileage (stock gearing larger tires) but what would 2 and 4...
Thanks guys. I used a power antennae from Autozone. I think it was like $40. It didn't get the reception that the factory one got either but at least I could hear it. I had replaced the factory one after getting it bent in the car wash. I just wanted one that wouldn't bend and get reception...
98 XJ I replaced the factory radio antenna with a power antenna. Eventually the motor shorted out. So I bought a rubber mast one with a built in amplifier. Ran it thru the firewall and used the new antenna's cable and left factory one up out of the way. Tied the power connection to the Radios...
I am getting ready to do the same swap in my 98. Did you find any difference in the length of the diffs? Did you need to get a longer driveshaft?
Thanks

what's the latest on the videos? I can't wait to get my originals back that I gave you so I can show my buds back here in Minnesota. They all think I'm blowing smoke about a 6 foot waterfall climb!

Trying to replace my pitman arm. Stopped by the local parts store and rented their front end kit. First I snapped a piece off the puller then I snapped the head off my socket. I've sprayed it down for weeks with PB Blaster. Is there some trick that I am not doing correctly? And yes I removed all...
Do you still have drivers side rear passenger door glass? The one that goes up and down not the fixed. Also the back gate glass. Are they tinted? Would the rear glass fit a 98?
Thx
Garth
Thanks Chuck. I searched the other night and couldn't find this thread. Thought maybe it had been deleted. I had remembered seeing it not sure why it wasn't showing when I looked though.
The only reason I ask is people keep asking me how much lift I have! Guys come up to me in the parking lot and say coool. Hate not being able to give an honest answer. Also my club had a fun day the other day and we were supposed to say how much lift we had and I had to say 4.5 I guess.
Thanks
