See video. This is what I'm seeing with my 92. I swapped to the neon injectors some time ago and I'm wondering if I've got a bad one or two. Sometimes it will run fine, sometimes it does this.
Very strong gas smell from exhaust while cranking and no pressure at fuel rail. Newish fuel pump and...
So my XJ just randomly started doing this again. Randomly it will start to idle high (1500-2000) and smell very rich. When it does this it will, more often than not, stall out when trying to pull away from a stop. It seems like it's completely flooding the motor out. To get it fired up again I...
Just got my DIY Mojave and I'll probably be starting on it next weekend. Anybody that's built one, any gotchas? It didn't come with any instructions but it looks pretty straightforward. The only part I'm a little worried about is where the bumper meets up with the bottom edge of the cut and...
I've been having this problem off and on for the past year. Nothing I've tried has solved it. It's hard to troubleshoot because it will show up for a week or so then disappear for awhile. This last time it ran good for almost 2 months before it started acting up again.
Here are the basic...
I've had a JCR t-case skid on for over a year without any major issues. It's held up pretty well to some pretty good hits. I had to drop it the other day to work on the exhaust and I noticed that all but 1 of the well nuts on each side had failed mostly due to the holes in the sheet metal...
I've found the posts that have the 3 reference values listed (90,220,260).
My question is does anybody have a more detailed chart?
Something to the 1deg would be great but even to the 5deg would help.
Been fighting a weird one for a few weeks. It's been getting worse and worse. It's totally intermittent with no standard method to reproduce.
Symptoms
Elevated (1500-1700) idle.
Hesitation when applying throttle.
Rich Smell to exhaust.
Occasionally will only start with the flooded start...
I just switched to the C1500 brake lines. They work fine, but the only way the banjo fitting fit left the line coming out from the side instead of the top. Is it safe to remove (grind) the locating tab and then rotate the brake line up?
CEL came on this morning and the voltage gauge was in the middle of the red. This happened to me a while back and it was the alternator so I just swapped it with a new one from o'reillys (lifetime warranty). While I was working on the truck I had the battery on a charger. It probably took it...
I had a bad leak at the expansion valve and I've had to dump R12 into it twice this summer so I decided to go ahead and swap to 134.
I replaced the expansion valve and the dryer. I flushed out the condenser and the evaporator. I reassembled everything with new o-rings. I pulled a hard vacuum on...
Yay! Snow!
Been pulling people out all day. I grabbed this vid a few minutes ago.

They are saying we got between 8-12"... not too shabby :)
I'm about to order some 4.5 front coils to replace my junkyard springs and spacers.
Both the Rusty's and Rough Country are the same price so that's not part of the decision.
Ride quality? Construction quality?
Comments?
Don't needs these anymore since I built my bumper.
Brackets = $25
Brace = $15
Together = $35
What you see is what you get. I don't have any of the hardware (nuts, bolts) but you can source that pretty easy. Also the C4x4 brackets normally come with an inner brace that is just a piece of...
Ok... Ok.... It's not a full tube chassis buggy, but it is my first real attempt at fabricating something like this.
These are the basic plans I've worked up.
I'm basically using 3x4 angle for the main structure with some 1/4 plate for the mounts and reinforcing.
Comments?
8.25 out of a '92 2WD. Haven't pulled the diff cover but it should have 3.55's. One shock mount is missing the threads from the stud but that is an easy fix.
Otherwise, complete drum-to-drum
$50 OBO
Moore, OK
So I just replaced the ball joints and hubs last weekend. Front end felt tight and it tracked down the highway great.
Till this morning. I got the most severe case of death wobble I've ever had. It almost put me into the center divider in the middle of rush hour traffic. Thought I was gonna get...
Just discovered the hitch on my heep was only being held on by two good bolts. Need to source the nut strips to mount it right.
<edit>
3rd dealer I called finally figured out what I was talking about. $45 per side :shocked:
