Will that turn on the key 3times and the engine light will flash the code trick work on a 99? I've tried it several times to no avail. I dont feel like paying to have it scanned or paying $179CAN for a scanner....

So everytime my front passenger side hits a bump I feel and hear a clunking in the floor of the truck....No play in the steering aside from the draglink/knuckle mount. Would this cause that clunk over bumps? If not any idears? Balljoint?

Okay my question is: OBDII XJs have two O2 sensors..one on the downpipe right after the header and one after the cat. If I were to "straight pipe" my XJ by removing the cat would I mess up my computer with the reading from the last O2 sensor being off? Anyone have any expirience with this? Plz...

So up here in Canada gas is at $1.10 a liter (about $3.30/gal). I am wondering if it is possible to convert my 1999 OBDII 4L to propane? And if so will the savings in $$$ from buying $0.40/L propane be worth it? What negative effects would I see? Just thinking.....

How can you tell when your catalytic converter is plugged up? I banged on it with my hand but didn't hear any rattling or anything. Jeep's been acting up a little bit lately.

So how long does it take your guys XJ to get up to temperature? (Middle of the gauge). Mine gets up there in about 5 minutues of driving in about 18 degree (Celsius) weather. Should I be concerned about overheating on the trail? It never goes over 100 degrees (middle of the gauge).

So driving to work today the AIRBAG light comes on and the speedo drops to zero. I smacked the top and everything went back to normal. Then a little while later the RPM's went to zero and the AIRBAG light came on again. Again a smack cured it. Hasn't done it since....wierd...cluster? Wiring? Ideas?
