strangely enough I got it working again by jiggling around and repositioning one of the relays on the left side forward near the front of the jeep, I guess there was a loose connection on one of the relays, and twisting it so the relay stays in a new postiion seems to solve the problem at least...
when you said you ran wire to battery then to switch, do you mean to ignition switch, how do I find where to connect to the ignition swich
is there a link for Hayes, I couldn't find anything
One wire from fan is grounded, that works fine, I need to get power to the other wire from the fan...
When I bought my 90 xj the previous owner had revbuilt the engine as a stroker
and installed a 2nd fan which was powered by the battery and turned on and off with the ingnition switch.
For some reason it stopped working yesterday. The fan works fine when connected directly to the battery...
I just installed new rear leaf springs, and I think I am detecting vibration when accelerating at low speed.

I can't figure out how putting a shim on the lef pack which is above the axel would would improve the driveshaft angle--it looks tome...
TPS got wet from leaks in hood vents. My xj auto trans won't shift out of first till about 4500 rpm, and shifts erratically.
Assuming its the TPS can I do anything to fix it, dry it, whatever, or do I need to replace. Last time this happened it spontaniously fixed itself after 6 weeks or so...
My 90 xj won't shift out of first. Was fine when I parked it. It rained a lot and now can't shift out of first. Had problem before. Was told it was wet throttle position sensor. Eventually it dried out and worked.
I don't want to wait weeks for it to dry out. Where is the darn thing. And...

I have nothing against jackstands. But Just for the record, the boards in question are 6 inches thick, 18 inches wide
and 30 inches long. Placed crosswise under the rock rails I would think they would be far more stable than any...
