I'll admit the only machining I do is in the classroom and I'm still real new to this so 4 jaws for me take a while. I suppose if I were to keep doing it every day for years I'd get pretty quick at it, just seemed that 2 minutes is a little quick for getting it all right.

JJ, how do you check that its exactly centered in 2 minutes tops? Heck, just setting up a dial indicator takes longer than that. Just curious how tight of tolerances you use or if its just eyeball it and go stuff.

I'd run a twist drill first and then clean it up with an offset boring tool. I really don't think a fly cutter will do what you want at all, or at least it'll do a really crappy job. I have access to a 4 jaw chuck here at school but I think they'd miss it and it wouldnt' ship easy.

I've also heard that moth balls work to repel animals. It worked on my dog when we didn't want him peeing on the garden and front bushes. I'd throw some of them around your garden and the tasty stuff and see how it goes.
