I wish I knew who invented the sawzall, its does magical things to a rig. I used mine to put 40's on a 79 K5 with only 4" of lift.

A 3 core radiator may have contributed also. The thicker core makes it more difficult for the air to move through it. Most newer high efficency cores are 2 at most. Given the XJ fans inability to move air, it may have been a move in the wrong direction.

I am putting a rebuilt engine in my 87, does anyone know what size the torx bolts on the top of the bell housing are? Those two are the only thing keeping me from pulling the old one and stabbing the new one.

Unfortunately the 360 trails are private property and you risk the impoundment of your rig for trespassing, and there have been a few. There are lots of people who still go there but the possible expense is to high for me.
