Thanks for all the help, got it done!! Are the magnets in the bottom of the pan use to collect debris that might get in? I filled the trans through the dipstick, saw a write up do it, but is the fill plug a 1 1/2 inch plug with a metal ring on the outside?
Changing my transmission filter fluid, and I have this metal tube that goes from the bottom of my transmission pan to the top of my transmission. the tube doesn't seem to want to move and I am unable to get to the filter underneath the pan. Any ideas on what it is and how to remove it? Going...
Just bought a 2000 XJ. Replaced the washer fluid reservoir with one from the junk yard, 91 or something. Anyway I can not get any of the pumps to work, the ones that came with the 2000 or the two that came with the 91 reservoir. Is there a fuse to the washer fluid pumps? I looked in my owners...
Thanks for all the input. I will put a lift on and see how it does. If I think it needs some power then I will look at gears for it. and hopefully a bumper and a winch will add the weight to force me to do gears.
