2013 calendar

Ya know.... I kinda forgot about a BBQ.
Anyone have some ideas? We did it at a park last year and it turned out pretty good I thought.

August 30th or Sept 7th would be great, if either one will work for you, Ryan. If later in September will work, we can move the Hanging Tree trial run. Attendance at the BBQ will likely he higher than Hanging Tree and since Hanging Tree won't make the chapter any money I think the BBQ takes priority.

I don't think we have anything going on on any of those weekends.

My only reason for wanting it in Sept is the chance of cooler weather.

If you guys want to combine the Aug M&G with the BBQ that is totally fine with me.

Isreal if you dont mind, I will go ahead and make the changes to the calendar for July run to Providence and for the august m & g.

I will not likely be able to make the July run and I see that steve will not be able to make it either. I am not sure but I presume that whoever makes the run will have to do it unofficially.

And if I changed them before you read this.... Make the changes as you see fit.:D

I just changed the dates before checking this thread. I swapped the dates for the Providence run and the July M&G.

For the BBQ, we probably don't want it too close to either the Providence run or Paris Ice Cave. With Prov. being the end of July and the ice cave likely being the middle of August, we may risk a low turnout for the BBQ if we do it the end of August. We may be better off doing it the 7th or 14th of Sept. and moving the Hanging Tree run to the end of the month.

I'm scheduled to move into our house the 7th, so let's plan on the 14th of September as long as that will work for you, Ryan.

It probably goes without saying, but if there is a delay with the house and we end up moving on the 14th, I won't be able to make it to the BBQ.

Well it would suck if you couldn't make it but I'm sure we can manage if it comes to that. When I get home I will start a thread.

Think $10 for adults and $7 for kids is fair? Meat is so expensive now.

Could we swing $9 and $6? We have a meat place near me with high quality meat priced better than most stores. Costco may also be a good place to check. Let me know what we need and I will price check.

First thing we need to do is get a thread up and gauge interest. It's always kind of a guessing game on who's going to show up. You don't want to buy too much meat and have a bunch left over but at the same time you really REALLY don't want to run out.

Soon as I get home I will start a thread. Check with your meat guy and see what the cost per patty is (if you just want to do burgers)

Then there is salad, drinks, knives and forks. Cost is directly related to what you want to feed people.

Posting a thread now.

Do me a favor and leave it in the general IC area...not the staging area unless you want to do two threads. I think the staging area can get overlooked sometimes.

going to be a good time.
